How much do credits cost?
You buy credits, and each lead costs a set number of credits to open a private message thread with the host. Pricing details will be published on the pricing page — Founding Pros also receive 20 free credits to start.
What if a lead turns out to be invalid?
You can report leads with invalid event details or fraudulent content. We review each request and may credit your account back if confirmed — details in our refund policy.
Can I respond to hosts without paying?
Yes. When a host sends a quote request through your profile directly, no credits needed to respond. You only spend credits to message leads Zamala matched to you.
Do I need a big portfolio?
No. Emerging pros welcome. What matters is the quality of your work and your commitment to the people who hire you.
How do you decide who gets a lead?
Zamala matches based on what the host described — category, date, location, style, culture, budget. Each lead goes to a curated selection of pros who fit best. Not a broadcast.
I serve outside Greater Vancouver — can I join?
Yes. Our active focus at launch is Vancouver, Victoria, and Whistler. If you serve Kelowna, Nanaimo, Chilliwack, or Abbotsford, you're welcome — hosts in your area will grow as we expand.
How long is onboarding?
The 8-step wizard takes about 15 minutes. Polishing your profile with Zamala tools takes a bit more. Most Pros are ready to receive leads the same day.
How long is the Founding Pro cohort open?
The Founding Pro benefits — free credits, Founding badge, priority visibility — are available during our pre-launch phase. After that, free signup stays open for everyone.
Is there a contract?
No annual contracts. No commitment. You join, you use what helps, you leave when it's time. Your profile stays yours.
